Jeffrey Paul, founder of Hair Loss University, and his wife Zina founded the nonprofit organization Wigs for Kids after their neice Laura lost her hair due to Leukemia. “Uncle Jeff, you know I’ve been trying to get on the gymnastics team all my life,” she cried. “My hair is going to be falling out when it’s time to try out.”
Laura had a custom wig in time for her gymnastics meet. Because her hair piece was created by working with doctors and prosthetics specialists, the piece stayed in place through gymnastics, swimming and any other event an active child wants to participate in.
Today, Wigs for Kids offers custom hairpieces to children who have lost their hair from a number of medical reasons. These transformations are really amazing. Children who receive these wigs look and feel themselves again.

This year, the nonprofit is encouraging those who want to donate their hair (or those who join our Ambassador Program to cut ponytails for the nonprofit) to grow their hair LONG! It takes up 20-25 long ponytails to create a hair transformation like Jessica!
